Ensure your final wishes are respected and your loved ones are provided for with a professionally drafted Will by a solicitor. We will guide you through the process, ensuring your Will is legally sound and tailored to your individual needs, providing peace of mind and minimising the potential for disputes.

Without a Will, your estate will be divided according to the intestacy rules, which may not reflect your wishes.

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you lose mental capacity or otherwise require a little help and guidance in our increasingly complex world. This may be due to an accident, illness, or simply the natural aging process.

Probate is the legal process of dealing with a person’s estate after they die. This involves:

  • Identifying and valuing the deceased’s assets
  • Paying any outstanding debts and taxes
  • Distributing the remaining assets according to the Will or intestacy rules

Estate administration can be a complex and time-consuming process, especially if the estate is large or there are disputes among beneficiaries.

Arrange a fixed price consultation aimed at protecting your legacy and minimise your tax liability with our comprehensive inheritance tax planning services.

We will discuss the exemptions and allowances available to you and cover potential strategies to safeguard your assets for future generations, ensuring they receive the maximum benefit from your estate.

Will disputes and contentious probate matters can arise when there are disagreements or challenges to a Will or the administration of an estate. These disputes can be emotionally charged and legally complex.

Common causes of will disputes:

  • Lack of testamentary capacity: Concerns about the mental capacity of the person making the Will.
  • Undue influence: Allegations that the Will was made under duress or undue influence.
  • Invalidity of the Will: Challenges to the validity of the Will due to errors in its preparation or execution.
  • Disinheritance: Disputes arising from a beneficiary being excluded from the Will or receiving less than expected.
  • Lack of financial provision: Claims that the Will does not adequately provide for dependents or other family members.
